Advancing Education of the Hardworking and Dedicated

Skates 2 Scholars is a newly formed non-profit that is raising money solely to help local hockey players get to college. This organization has been created to assist in advancing the education of athletes who are hardworking and dedicated, but financially can not afford to excel to a higher schooling.

Did you know?

40% of students who complete a college prep program, and get accepted to a university, do not attend due to financial difficulties.

Here’s Why:

Tuition Growth at National Universities

  • Private
  • Public Out-of-State
  • Public In-State

Costs Are Higher Than Ever

Too many kids locally and regionally get accepted for their academics and achievements, but just do not have the financial or personal means to get started. This program will raise money annually and help many young adults attain a chance to take that first step towards the rest of their life. We would like to support them, help grow awareness, and give those who deserve an opportunity to reach their goals.

Applying is easy

We believe that every child deserves to expand their mind. We also have a special place in our hearts for the sport of hockey. Not only does it build character and improve mental agility, but those who play youth hockey are 3x more likely to continue playing in college and through adulthood.

Who Can Apply

  • Any local hockey athlete planning to further their education.

Not every person who plays hockey can afford to do so, some have to struggle and work hard to continue their passion. They choose to be dedicated and excel. That same dedication will continue through to their educational years. SkateS2Scholars would like to assist those kids in fulfilling their “what do you want to be when you grow up” desires.

We hope you will contribute in helping us make those dreams a reality.
