NEED EQUIPMENT?
SkateS2Scholars is holding an open closet sale every Friday evening between 6pm-8pm at Extreme Ice Center, held in the Training Rink at the end of the bleachers. From shoulder pads to skates, and everything in between (sorry, no helmets or jocks), we want to help you on the ice.
100% of all donations goes back to the hockey players.
Skates 2 Scholars is a non-profit organization created for helping local hockey players pay for college. Since 2017, S2S has donated over $38,000 to our in-house hockey players.
Throughout the pandemic we have seen many families have to choose between paying for hockey or their livelihood. We would like to help.
Starting in 2021 SkateS2Scholars has pivoted to helping in-house players continue to play. If you are financially struggling, or know someone who is, please let us know. We would like to discreetly make a donation into their account to help support the player staying on the ice and in the game.

Applying is easy
We believe that every child deserves to expand their mind. We also have a special place in our hearts for the sport of hockey. Not only does it build character and improve mental agility, but those who play youth hockey are 3x more likely to continue playing in college and through adulthood.
We are accepting applications to help families keep their child on the ice in the form of an essay. Please submit for yourself, or nominate a friend!
