2019-2020 S2S Scholarship WINNERS

SkateS2Scholars, our in-house scholarship program, understands how difficult college can be and is dedicated to helping players reach their potential. This year we have 6 amazing students being awarded:

Lauren Tulloch –
A graduate of Olympic High School. She has been playing hockey since 2014, and plans to continue her on-ice career this fall at Aquinar College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Lauren is being awarded the S2S Stephen Russell Scholarship.

Mitchell Watts –
A returning scholarship winner, Mitchell continues to impress us on and off the ice. Mitchell has competed in the Fire Fighters MDA, raising money for Muscular Dystrophy, and finished off his Freshman year on the Deans List at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Kyle Siggins –
A 10 year veteran to the ice, Kyle has completed the majority of his hockey career at Extreme Ice Center. Mr. Siggins graduated with honors from William Ames High School and will be attending UNC Wilmington in the fall.

Joshua Burns –
A graduate from Porter Ridge High School, Joshua plans to attend Liberty University. Dubbed the “Quiet Leader” by his coaches Burns gives back in the hockey world by volunteering his evenings to helping coach younger players.

Christian Sokol –
Returning for his 2nd year with SkateS2Scholars Christian Sokol has shown incredible growth at Regent University. Christian has become a Hall Life Group Leader, Student Services Employee, and Regent University’s Club Ice Hockey Team President, all while pursuing his degree in Human Resource Management.

Abby Reisinger –
Dubbed “A Coaches Dream” Abbigail is forging her path at Alvernia University in the honors program, a competitor on the university’s D3 golf team, and a starter on the all Women’s D3 hockey team .. as well as being named for the Middle Atlantic All-Conference Team. Abby was quoted in saying ‘ You never realize how much kids look up to girls my age, just as I look up to the women who forged the way for me to play”

SkateS2Scholars would like to thank every one of the hardworking players who have applied … and every person who has supported our efforts along the way. Congratulations to all these amazing athletes!
